Raiders down to four healthy receivers as Kubiak leaves door open to a move

Nailor is in concussion protocol, Bech and Thornton are on injured reserve, and Klint Kubiak says all options are on the table before Sunday at New England.

The Raiders walked out of Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Chiefs still 3-1 and second in the AFC West, and with a receiver room down to four healthy bodies. Jalen Nailor, the group's nominal No. 1, is in concussion protocol. Klint Kubiak confirmed it after the game ("Jalen Nailor has a concussion") and offered nothing firmer Monday, saying only that the team would keep evaluating him.

There is not much behind him. Jack Bech went on injured reserve on Sept. 29 with a fractured left forearm and, per CBS Sports, is out for at least four games. Dont'e Thornton Jr. is also on IR and has not practiced this season; Kubiak said Monday the team is "still in discussions about when he will be back," as Just Blog Baby catalogued. That leaves Tre Tucker, Malik Benson, Dareke Young and Cody White, which is exactly the list on the unofficial Week 5 depth chart once you cross off Nailor.

Read the ledger and it gets worse. Tucker has 11 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown. Nailor has five for 52. Bech had five for 48 and a score before the forearm. Athlon Sports called it one of the worst receiver groups in the league, and the numbers don't argue. That Kirk Cousins is still tied for the league lead with 11 passing touchdowns is a Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer story, not a wideout story.

Kubiak isn't pretending otherwise. Asked about adding help, he said "all things are being considered," per Raiders.com's Levi Edwards, a quote Heavy and others picked up Monday. Adam Schefter has named Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jerry Jeudy among the league's receivers to watch on the trade market, though not with Las Vegas attached. Opinion: paying a premium for a third target is the wrong invoice when the run game sits last in the NFL at 3.13 yards per carry.

One line in the black. Jackson Powers-Johnson is "on the mend," Kubiak said, with the team planning to have him back this week, and the depth chart lists him at right guard ahead of Caleb Rogers.

Sunday also proved the market is watching. The game drew 28.4 million viewers on CBS, the most-watched broadcast of the season and, per the network, the most-watched Week 4 game in its history.

Watch two things before Sunday at New England: whether Nailor clears protocol, and whether anyone new is standing in the receiver meeting room by Friday.
