McCaffrey, Samuel and Evans sit out 49ers practice as Raiders waive Cody White

San Francisco held out three of its top offensive weapons on Wednesday while the Raiders listed only one player as a non-participant.

The 49ers listed five players as non-participants on Wednesday's Week 9 injury report, three of them central to why San Francisco is 6-1. Running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) and receivers Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and Mike Evans (ribs, Achilles) all sat out, as did safety Siran Neal and left tackle Trent Williams, the latter resting. Edge rusher Nick Bosa was limited with a knee and calf issue.

Las Vegas is in better shape. Cornerback Darien Porter (groin) was the only Raider who did not practice, with defensive tackles Thomas Booker and Folorunso Fatukasi and tight end Ian Thomas limited. Opinion, clearly labeled: a Wednesday DNP in early November is as often maintenance as doubt. Still, Evans and Samuel have accounted for six of Brock Purdy's 15 touchdown passes, by the team's own game preview, so Friday's report is worth reading closely.

The Raiders cleared a roster spot by waiving receiver Cody White and activating tight end Carter Runyon from injured reserve, Raiders Wire's Levi Damien reported. White was cheap production: signed after Seattle cut him in late August, elevated three times, three touchdowns, still third on the team in scoring catches. Damien expects him back on the practice squad if he clears waivers. With Jack Bech and Dont'e Thornton available again, the arithmetic stopped working in White's favor.

Dylan Laube was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his 95-yard kickoff return touchdown at the Jets, the team announced. It was the first kickoff returned for a score in the NFL this season and the first by a Raider since Jacoby Ford in 2011, and Laube leads the league at 34.1 yards per return. "Dylan is a stud player for us," coach Klint Kubiak said.

The right guard job still belongs to a rookie. Trey Zuhn III played every offensive snap at Jackson Powers-Johnson's old spot in the win at New York, and Kubiak, asked whether Zuhn would keep getting chances, said "I believe so. Yes." (Athlon Sports). Powers-Johnson won the job in camp and started four games. He is now a special teams player, the Review-Journal reported.

The deadline is Nov. 10, and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero priced Kirk Cousins in picks rather than praise on the Bill Simmons Podcast this week. "Are you giving up a second-round pick? Are you sending a first-round pick for Kirk Cousins? I don't know why the Raiders would do it for less," he said, by way of Raiders Beat.

Watch Thursday and Friday for whether McCaffrey, Samuel and Evans practice, and whether Porter's groin keeps him out of a game the 30th-ranked Raiders run defense can ill afford to play short. Kickoff at Levi's Stadium is 1:25 p.m. PT Sunday.
