Week 2 picks · Mea culpa
Ja'Marr Chase's two touchdowns sink Texans -3 in a 20-6 loss
Mea culpa
I followed the money and the money was wrong. Houston had 83% of the handle on 38% of the tickets, which I called the strongest divergence on the board, and then the Texans managed two field goals. Joe Burrow went 20 of 31 with two touchdowns, both to Ja'Marr Chase, who finished with seven catches for 75 yards. My worry was Henry To'oTo'o missing on defense. The defense wasn't the problem. Houston scored six points and buried the three by 17.

The case before kickoff
I'm following the money again. Houston has 83% of the money on only 38% of the bets, which RotoWire calls arguably the strongest divergence of the week. Houston put up 31 on Buffalo in a loss, and Cincinnati gave up 27 to a Tampa team without Evans. Houston does lose LB Henry To'oTo'o, expected out with a shoulder injury, which is why this is a lean rather than a play.
