Week 4 picks · Mea culpa
Jameis Winston's three scores and Banks' pick-six bury Cardinals -2.5
Mea culpa
I built this on two games of Jameis Winston without a touchdown. He threw three, for 250 yards on 29 attempts, and Malik Nabers went 6 for 112 with one of them. Arizona's defense took the ball away three times and still lost by 12. Deonte Banks ended it with a 98-yard pick-six on fourth-and-goal as the clock hit zero. Giants 36, Cardinals 24, a 14.5-point miss on a laid 2.5. The read on an offense that can't finish drives was flat wrong.

The case before kickoff
Since Jaxson Dart went down on the first possession in Week 2, the Giants have scored 6 points against the Rams and 12 against Tennessee, the 12 on four field goals. That's two games of Jameis Winston without a touchdown, and Dart's knee surgery means this is the offense for the rest of the regular season. Arizona comes in without a fantasy-relevant injury. The market has already moved five points since the reopen, so this isn't early, but the move is pricing a real quarterback change rather than a single result, and laying under a field goal against an offense that can't finish drives is still the right side.
