Week 4 picks · Cashed
Brock Bowers' late touchdown backdoors Raiders +4.5 in Las Vegas
Cashed
Taking the hook on a coin flip, and the hook is exactly what paid. Kenneth Walker III ran 22 times for 177 yards and two touchdowns, including a 76-yarder, and Kansas City led 30-19 after Las Vegas fumbled a kickoff. The cover showed up late, on Kirk Cousins' 20-yard touchdown to Brock Bowers and Cody White's two-point conversion. Chiefs 30, Raiders 27, so 4.5 cashes by a point and a half. Cousins threw for 365 and got picked on the last play. Right side, backdoor reason.
win Chiefs 30, Raiders 27
The pick: Raiders +4.5 vs Chiefs
The case before kickoff
Handicapped like any other game: the number is close to right, and the only reason to take the points is the half point past 4. The case for fading Las Vegas is real. The Raiders' three wins came against Miami, the Chargers and New Orleans, who are a combined 1-8, Jack Bech just went to IR, and Kansas City arrives with no fantasy-relevant injuries and Mahomes practicing fully. The case for the points is the hook and the venue, plus a Cousins-led offense that has been efficient all season. Spread money is split almost exactly down the middle. A low-conviction lean, not a fan's pick.
